The ATAR crescendo! VCE Students, you have played your part by making numerous appearances in primary school and secondary school acts, with now the ATAR crescendo! So much ‘noise’. Finally the curtain comes down after your ATAR score is known. Hold on! Just as suddenly as the curtain went down it has gone back up and all you can hear is the applause from the people closest to you. You are a STAR!
I say a ‘STAR’, because no matter what the ATAR, you have the opportunity to reflect and recalibrate on you career interests. If you know your career interests you will achieve your career goals. Why do I say that? Well you will feel an excitement, a passion, a determination within you that will motivate to take on challenges and remove barriers.
Remember, an ATAR is a point in time and does not define who you are as a person. It tells you these are the courses you can get into based on career interests.
So start writing your own career interests script by pursing a path of self discovery to understanding who you are.
